We have 2 yurts, they are situated on our 5 acre meadow laden with wildflowers and bordered by old woodland. The yurts stand in approximatley 1/2 acre of space, you may have to share this with the odd squirrel or butterfly.
The views across the Tanat Valley are breath taking and forever changing with the time of day, rich in colour and offering a tremendous sense of space and freedom. A bridle path cuts through the edge of the site and this can be followed onto the hills. By walking down the site you can enter a small wood via a private style and wander through the woods, following the gurgling stream past old Lime Kilns, pick mushrooms when in season, watch and listen to the extensive bird population, with buzzards soaring overhead. You can walk and explore all day without crossing a road, a perfect environment for children to play safely.
The Yurt area is made as relaxing as possible and we are environmentally responsive in order to maintain harmony with nature. Many of the hedges on site are now laid to encourage and preserve wildlife. We have an outside BBQ area with tables and benches so that you can enjoy the alfresco eating area. For those not so sunny days we have a fully equiped communal Kitchen / Dinning area with a gas cooker, sink, fridge and freezer so that food can be stored safely.
The site has a spacious communal wash house, which includes a shower, wash basin and toilet.
There is a small car park area a short walk from the meadow. This means that we do not allow vehicals on the grassland, ensuring meadow flowers and grasses are preserved and an optimum feeling of tranquility is maintained.
We are happy to have dogs on site and dogs are always happy to be here! However, we are surrounded by farm land which is predominantly stocked with sheep. It is essential that dogs are friendly and kept under control at all times.
We are a short drive from local shops, including a butchers, off-licence, bakers, vegetable shop and launderette, but depending on how plentiful the veg garden is, we hope to be able to offer you picked to order organic vegatables. On site you can also buy fresh free range eggs and Honey from our own hives.

Art workshops including painting, sculpture, making with nature, crafts. These workshops will be individually tailored to your Childrens age and needs. Workshop leaders are CRB checked and experienced practioners with children and young people.
