We are situated at the head of the Tanat Valley in a very picturesque area of north wales. Within easy reach we have the waterfalls at Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, the beautiful Lake Vyrnwy, Bala Watersports and much more. Lake Vyrnwy offers an RSPB site with arts and crafts, walks, a sculpture park and cafes in a relaxing atmosphere. The Hotel at the Lake has seasonal sports available such as Pheasant Shooting, Fishing, Clay Pigeon Shooting and more. At Bala Watersports the more adventurous can have a full day on the water with canoeing, rafting and much more. Within an hour is the beautiful market town of Machynlleth boasting the famous (CAT) Centre for Alternative Technology with much to see and do. A short way from Machynlleth is the vast coast and beaches of Aberdovey, Aberystwyth, Twyny, Dolgellau where many seaside activities can be enjoyed making a great day out. To the north is the Market town of Llangollen with castles and Abbey, the Llangollen canal with it's aqueducts and tunnels and the famous Thomas the Tank Engine. Whatever your needs you can find things to do, relax and enjoy in and around the area. Within a half hour drive are the towns of Oswestry and Welshpool which offer markets, supermarkets and a good collection of shops. More locally yours immediate needs can be met in either Llanfyllin or Llanrhaeadr ym Monchant with a local Spar, butchers, bakers, hardware and craft shops. Both boast a number of pub's and places to eat and are within 3 miles from the site.
